Paco Chicano was founded by two brothers, Franck and Gilbert Ros borned in Andalusia, Spain. The Spanish origins of the two brothers inspired their designs.

They were the first to advocate spiritual and human ethics on their clothing and also the pioneers of printed t-shirts in the fashion business started in 1986 with messages of peace and love. That line was sold since the beginning in the best shops all over the world. Paco Chicano brand was created in 1986 by 2 Spanish brothers, Franck & Gilbert Ros originally from Lorca, a small town in the south of Spain. Their aim from the start was to be creative and different from other brands. They clearly outlined their own personalities and refused to give into opportunism and easy product sales. They used their nicknames Paco (Franck) and Chicano (Gilbert) to create their Paco Chicano brandname.

They wanted to make timeless classics that last, not changing fashion fads. They want to create their own identity and for them, quality is something that endures not something that’s thrown away. Their style is very personal and their t-shirts are seen not just as garments but as a philosophy in themselves.

They wanted to start of using something as simple as possible, a basic white square and enhance it with the visual concept that is minimalistic in spirit and kitch as the same time for its colors and the spirituality of their messages coded in the forceful images expressed by their thoughts. They think visual remains, everything that is recorded or printed stays forever. The spoken words are like air, it floats up into the air and its forgotten.

They wanted everything to be put down in writing that’s been the strong point of their work for years. They were the first to advocate spiritual and human values on their t-shirts. All the vital energies have a place in their philosophy: love, romanticism, flowers, ecology, peace, religious symbols and everything that forms part of Andalusian culture with its image of Christ and the Virgin Mary.

They were brought up under the influence of Andalusian spirit and they were the first since 1986 to incorporate the latin mystical style into the world of fashion putting across its messages on their t-shirts. They wanted to present all these powerful images that enabled to the world to advance along essential moral and physical path since immemorial time and which were instilled in them through their culture, their education.

Franck and Gilbert grew up in the world of religious images in the artistic and philosophical context created by their father, a restorer of cathedrals in the south of Spain and their mother, a Spanish stylist and fashion designer. They were taught love, taste for beauty, sensitivity, and control for their emotions which is the first stage of creativity within everyone’s soul . In their case, they express their world through their work and in their particular case, perhaps this is just a simple, nostalgic lookback into their past which all these remembrance of symbolic and poetic thoughts, and a curious glance into the future at the same time and that is why since all these years they like to innovate and create new tendances in the fashion world.

Their designs were worn by all kinds of celebrities, in 1988 the Gypsy King’s album cover had the sign of Paco Chicano brand. In 1995, they created the MTV international logo. Paco Chicano designs were used for the wardrobe of Robert Altman’ s movie (PRET-A-PORTER) in 1996 and many others…

Since all these years, they are always ready to help and participate for any good cause in the world using their designs to help.

Crecimos en un mundo de imagenes religiosas en el contexto artistico y filosofico que crearon nuestro padre restaurador de catedrales en España y nuestra madre estilista y modista. Ellos nos enseñaron el amor, el gusto por la estética, la busqueda de la pureza en la sensibilidad y el control de las emociones que es la primera etapa de la creatividad en el alma de cada uno.

Cada persona expresa a traves de sus emociones un mundo virtual e imaginario. Algunos pretendemos traducirlo o expresario segun nuestras propias personalidades y habilidades adquiridas con la experiencia de la vida . En nuestra propuesta, igual que en nuestro caso, quiza no sea mas que en nostalgica al pasado, con toda esta retropectiva de pensamientos simbolicos y poéticos, y al mismo tiempo, una mirada curiosa hacia el futuro.

Franck et Gilbert Ros fondateurs de la marque Paco Chicano natifs de la ville de Lorca, Espagne Andalousie( surnommés les créateurs gitans).

Ils ont deux orientations dans le monde de la mode depuis 1986.

• Leur liberté de penser a leur concept philosophique et révolutionnaire.

• Les représentations officielles des valeurs symboliques et créer des concepts nouveaux.

En effet, refusant les tendances, ils préfèrent les devancer.

Les origines espagnoles et leur culture Andalouse ont inspire les deux frères Franck et Gilbert dans leurs créations pour Paco Chicano.

C’est ainsi qu’ils ont développé leurs talents créatifs et avant-gardistes au travers de leurs diverses collections en prônant leurs valeurs spirituelles et humaines : l’amour et le romantisme, l’écologie, les fleurs, la paix et les enfants ainsi que tout leur folklore andalou iconoclaste : de la sainte vierge à la gitane et du mysticisme au flamenco. Leur père ayant été restaurateur de cathédrales en Andalousie et leur mère styliste et ayant eu un atelier de couture réputé à Lorca, Franck et Gilbert ont donc été élevé dans un concept artistique et philosophique où le goût pour l’esthétique, la recherche de la pureté et où le contrôle de la sensibilité et des émotions est la première étape de leur créativité.

En 1986, ils créent la marque Paco Chicano et deviennent les précurseurs dans la mode d’une ligne de t-shirts aux motifs symboliques et minimalistes où les messages philosophiques et spirituels sont vendus dans les plus belles boutiques du monde.
